This low table is made of Spalted Dutch Elm wood, with three chunky steel legs. It is intended to be a dining table for asain-style seating, and for the show will be shown with zabuton - traditional Japanese floor-seating cushions. However, it is the height of a low coffee table, and could function as such.
Below are some process shots of the piece being roughed out, and the cracks are being filled with a two-part epoxy dyed black. To see the final piece... COME TO THE SHOW!!!
